Oxford ArchDigital

Oxford ArchDigital, a spin-out company from the University of Oxford's Institute of Archaeology, design online text and multimedia information management systems. We supply a range of standard solutions for the heritage sector as well as bespoke solutions for the heritage, education and commercial sectors.

As part of the overall systems being specified within the company's target sectors, there is an increasing demand for the inclusion of some form of web-based Geographic Information System (GIS). OAD can either supply a web-driven database linked to a proprietary GIS such as MapXtreme or ArcIMS, or else incorporate its own ToadMap georeferencing tool into the client's system.

The company has also identified the perceived need for the training of archaeologists, heritage specialists and those working in related fields in the use of 3rd party software applications, particularly GIS and CAD as well as database design. Training is offered both through standard courses and bespoke training designed to meet the specific needs of the company's customers. Training is offered at all skill levels ranging from Beginner to Advanced.
